We have partnered with the National Sports Center for the Disabled and the Movement Gym for instructor-guided Rock Climbing and Archery. Participants will have the opportunity to learn the basics of Rock Climbing: Gearing up, Communication, How to Belay, Hand and Feet placement, Bouldering, and other techniques! No experience necessary! Rock Climbing held at The Movement Gym™ in Golden, Colorado. Our Mentors with lived experiences will be there to show that overcoming obstacles can be turned into a fun activity!

After getting our energy out on the climbing walls, the kids will try out their hand at archery. NSCD staff will train and educate on the Parts of a Bow and How to Use it, including Precision, Hand & Eye Coordination, and Flighting the Arrow. In consultation with our neurodiversity experts, archery has been shown to help with a better ability to focus and sustain attention in other areas of life.
