We partnered with the National Sports Center for the Disabled and the Movement Gym for instructor-guided Rock Climbing and Archery. Participants had the opportunity to learn the basics of Rock Climbing: Gearing up, Communication, How to Belay, Hand and Feet placement, Bouldering, and other techniques! The Rock climbing was held at The Movement Gym™ in Golden, Colorado. Our Mentors with lived experiences were there to help show overcoming obstacles can be turned into a fun activity!

After getting our energy out on the climbing walls, the kids tried their hand at archery. Our amazing NSCD staff trained and educated on the Parts of a Bow and How to Use it, including Precision, Hand & Eye Coordination, and Flighting the Arrow. In consultation with our neurodiversity experts, archery has been shown to help with a better ability to focus and sustain attention in other areas of life.
