About Us

My XXY | Chromodiversity™ Foundation is a U.S non-profit, founded in 2020 to support families affected by genetic and developmental differences. Initially focused on XXY, our mission quickly expanded to other genetic differences.

The term "chromodiversity" was introduced to encourage a shift in how genetic differences are perceived, promoting acceptance rather than medicalization. Much like how "biodiversity" highlights the richness of life and "neurodiversity" the diversity of minds, chromodiversity offers a way to celebrate the natural variety within human DNA.

With a rise in genetic testing, early identification of chromosomal differences is more common than ever.

Despite this, support systems, early interventions, and community resources are not keeping pace.

As a result, countless children with DNA differences struggle in school and beyond. Crucial early intervention windows are missed, leaving families feeling lost and children unsupported. Chromodiversity was founded to change this.

Chromodiversity offers resources that families, educators, and professionals can understand and trust. Our podcast and resource list bring the latest research, advice, and stories directly to those who need them, making complex science relatable and actionable.

Words matter. Language can shape how families experience diagnosis and support. At Chromodiversity, we encourage respectful, inclusive language that moves away from stigma and recognises genetic differences as part of natural human diversity.
